Filter housing was not clean, box was used
Two filters were loose in the packaging and some of the cardboard sections that normally hold them securely were torn. The box appears to have been reused and the tops of the filters were quite dirty. I was ready to send it back but since the box looked genuine I installed a filter and it seemed to work fine (the first water through the filter flushed out the carbon dust like a regular new filter would ). My guess is that the filters and packaging weren't fresh in the box (maybe a previous customer returned them? I don't know). We'll try for a week or so.
