Disable the energy saving setting of the Windows Bluetooth adapter in the device manager!

Even while using this keyboard, I noticed that when switching from one application or window to another, there is a 1/2 second input lag and the first character typed is repeated even though I only pressed once. I am using this with a Dell Latitude 7490 laptop. First thing I did was update the Bluetooth drivers from the Dell website. It did not work. I cycled my keyboard and then restarted my laptop, then disconnected and reconnected, but the problem persisted. I initiated a trade on Amazon thinking I had a bad keyboard, but later found it very important to disable the power saving option for your Bluetooth adapter in Windows Device Manager. You might think that the manufacturer of this keyboard should have a special insert in bold red letters advising customers to do this first. Otherwise, the keyboard works well now, and I really like the slim form factor. I got some desktop real estate back without sacrificing 10-key functionality. I've used a Logitech K800 before and it's a great keyboard but it takes up more space compared to this one. It will probably take me a while to get used to typing on these unobtrusive keys.

Pros
  • BATTERY AND GREEN TECHNOLOGY - The Bluetooth keyboard contains an incredibly long-lasting battery that provides up to 90 hours of continuous typing on a single charge. It features an eco-friendly power saving feature to reduce unnecessary power consumption, which puts the keyboard to sleep after 30 minutes of inactivity.
