Let me start by saying that I already have several TP-Link/Kasa products (smart bulbs and smart plugs) that work perfectly. Since I was so happy with the products I already had, I decided I would buy a camera from them as well. The first day was ok; I've only used it around my house and it seemed to have good quality video, although others have said there was an inexplicable high pitched ringing that came and went. The next day I came to work and couldn't access the video stream. I went home at lunchtime and the camera was blinking red so I set it from scratch. This fixed the problem for about 24 hours and then the same thing started again. None of my other devices had any issues and I have very fast internet so I believe this is due to regular glitches with the camera itself. Now let's talk about records. The recording time is very short; It's at least 20 seconds as far as I can tell, and the maximum length of a video I've experienced was around 2 minutes. However, it does not record every movement. For the first few days he would record me coming home at night walking through the door and then he would just stop. I walked around the living room and he didn't notice the movement, but later recorded me sitting on the couch. Overall I am very disappointed with this product. This does not match the quality I have seen on other TP-Link/Kasa devices. Oh, and for any of you who are considering buying this for "other" reasons, I assure you Dennis Reynolds would disagree.
