I bought 50 packs, 5 of each color (black, red, yellow, blue and green). Others sell half as much for the same money. In addition, they are of great value as they are well made, durable and easy to use. Multiple colors are useful for color coding (see below). If you're confused by the color, like I was initially - I wanted all black, know that when the velcro is wrapped onto the cord, the color isn't as obvious because it's not as noticeable. The velcro material is very soft and the velcro is not sharp. Velcro fasteners are well finished, so there are no sharp edges, they have a clean and precise shape (no accidental manufacturing marks, no hanging parts, no deformed parts). Velcro easily sticks to itself (which, surprisingly, doesn't apply to all Velcro).
