Review on Elgin Ruckus+ Earplug Earbuds with Mic: 25dB Noise Reduction, Wired Safety Ear Plugs Headphones, OSHA Compliant Hearing Protection, Ideal for Work Construction & Industrial Settings, Sweatproof Design by Amy Padilla

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Effective, albeit painful. Not for use on a motorcycle without a helmet.

Noise canceling works very well, the button and mic work well and no one has complained about the quality of my voice as long as the mic was next to my mouth. The sound quality is there. For the price/product ok. They sound very, very cloudy, but not so much that they are annoying. As long as I don't listen to good sources before using them, they serve their purpose. The main disadvantages: - The wires are quite stiff and elastic. They make a lot of noise when pushed. If my helmet hadn't pinched the cables between my face and cheek, the wind noise transmitted through the cables would have been potentially damaging to my hearing. earache. The edges of the matching studs are insanely sharp. If any force tries to gently pull them out of the ear after they're properly installed, the edges dig into them and cause quite a bit of discomfort. I resorted to partially inserting the connector, putting on the helmet, and then sticking my fingers through the front to complete the insertion and loosen the cable. Accidental tugging on the wire to find the button causes persistent pain afterwards. UPDATE: Almost a whole year has passed. These are still going strong. Upgraded to 4 stars because they have lasted and become more comfortable with constant use. They have earned a permanent place in my riding jacket. The quality of the microphone is still unchallenged and I managed several hours of conversations while riding (when the microphone is placed over the helmet's chin spoiler).
