Need a heat resistant silicone mat to cover rust stains on my husband's stainless steel green egg cart. Even though it's not the length I wanted, they fit the bill because there were two in each pack. I just layered one on top of the other to get the effect I wanted and it's almost invisible. Qualitatively they are *thin* as paper. However, they have withstood countless hours of radiant heat very well as they were placed very close to a very hot green egg. My husband put hot and cold meat platters on it and that wasn't a problem either. Also note that I wiped them down with Lysol wipes and the greasy dirt was removed effortlessly and the mats returned to their original condition. their original appearance after drying. Overall I'm satisfied as they managed to handle the intense heat well, cover up rust spots on the car, look good and are easy to clean. The only thing that would make it better for me would be if they were a bit thicker and offered more sizes.
