Bought this to add atmosphere to my cubicle at work. I was hoping to add softness and warmth to a cold, windowless workspace. I was disappointed with this product. "Flame" doesn't look like a flame at all. It may resemble smoke, but definitely not flame. Despite this, the "flame" is not visible unless the room is very dimly lit or dark. This may work as a night light for some, but it doesn't work for the purpose I intended. I was expecting the flame to be visible with the lights on. Unfortunately, the flames are barely visible in my office, even in the dim light. The magazines are all you can see if you set this up in a lighted area. I have attached photos of the lantern on my electric fireplace at home. My fireplace has a realistic flame that can be seen in bright light. While the lantern is only around $20 and I wasn't expecting the same quality as this fireplace, I did expect to see the flame-like effect when the light is on. I have a feeling this product is not delivering. The flame just isn't bright enough. I am sorry. Returning the product as it is not worth the money.
