Review on K&H PET PRODUCTS Cooling Pet Cot - Elevated Bed for Pets by Sharon Triplett

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Sturdy dog bed. My Yorkie is very into it.

I got this crib a few months ago but only put it on for my dog because it was too cold until recently. I bought the medium size because the small was way more expensive for some reason. My dog is small, only 10-12 kilos, but I thought she would have a little more space. The bed is easy to assemble. You simply insert plastic rods and attach the legs to them. It was a bit crooked at first but I sat on it and it straightened up and now everything is fine. The canvas is very durable and the middle part where the water cools the dog is durable. It is very easy to fill and stays cool. At first my dog was reluctant to climb into the cradle. She is a scared cat. Well, dog. I sat on it and it held me up well. I weigh 127 pounds. My Yorkie jumped on him and I sat on him and after doing this a few more times she is happy lounging in her new crib. It offers a lot of space, but is actually not that big. When it expands, it takes up most of the space. This medium sized crib can accommodate a much heavier dog. If I could sit on it and not feel like it was sagging or that I was damaging the bed, a heavier dog would have no problem at all. I love the crib and Molly is starting to love it too. Today she was lying on it in the yard and I didn't goad her in any way. I don't know how it will hold up over time so I gave it a 4 star rating. It feels really solid, but the plastic legs and connectors can become problematic over time. I'm considering buying a matching hood but am having a hard time getting it off and not sure my dog will benefit much from it. The sun must be ideally positioned to shade it. One bed is fine at the moment. It's cool, comfortable and strong. And roomy for my dog. If it holds up well over the summer I will update and upgrade to 5 stars.
