Review on Protective Case For IPad Pro 11 - 6 Viewing Angles, Magnetic Stand + Pencil Holder 2021/2020/2018 by Norlan Pippinmd

Meh. Magnetic closure doesn't work well.

I previously had an Otterbox Symmetry case for my 2018 iPad Pro 11", which I liked overall, aside from the weight (and price tag), but after years of use the adhesive which attaches the front flap to the case wore out and the flap separated from the case.My criteria for a replacement was it needed to be able to prop the iPad up for viewing in landscape mode, accommodate magnetic charging of the pencil, clear back highly preferred, magnetic closure, and light/moderate or better drop protection. This case seemed to check all those boxes, with the exception that the magnetic closure does not work correctly or reliably. When I close the flap as one would normally do, the iPad does not lock; Oddly, I can only get it to work if I press down on the top left corner of the flap (shouldn't it be top right corner where the magnet's at if anything? weird.), or sometimes if I flip the iPad and kind of slam the flap shut, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. My battery life has tanked because sometimes I just close the flap and set the iPad down without putting it to sleep. Also, the buttons, they're super stiff. Trying to take a screenshot is unwieldy. And this thing weighs a ton, although I was somewhat used to that from the Otterbox. Feels like it about triples the weight of the tablet. In its favor, I do like the kickstand as it's got many more different viewing angles than the Otterbox has. I could overlook most of the issues, but the poor magnetic closure is an annoying disappointment. I likely won't be using this case longterm.

Pros
  • Provides peace of mind knowing your device is protected
Cons
  • The case may interfere with the iPad Pro's touch screen
