I used one of these for about 2 years until lightning finally killed it. The phone, as intended, has serious flaws. Like I said, you can dial in the volume, but it's no crispier than advertised. Think of a very cheap speaker set at high volume. The louder, the harder to understand. The answering machine hardly worked when it was new. Messages were often so distorted that they could no longer be understood. A clear design flaw is that there is no way to receive calls from a remote location. You cannot call and receive your messages. You have to go where the phone is to hear the messages. This falls within the realm of what they had in mind when designing the autoresponder. What if you're 500 miles away and want to call for a message? It has big buttons, but that's a good thing. are harder to press than other phones. Look elsewhere for the phone and answering machine. This phone comes at a high price for what is actually a very cheap product. Revain deserves credit for not being available (like this email). I expect most will be returned.
