I bought this great monitor for a portable solution for working outside of the office and at home. The monitor is light and robust. Since the video signal and power comes from the computer via the USB-C cable, a connection is required. Once I connected it to my Linux workstation, the system extended my desktop. The configuration is not required. The same thing happened on my Apple laptop: a cable doubled the screen real estate. I immediately saw more possibilities. I plan to use it for video editing because the picture quality is excellent and the colors are accurate. I will also use it instead of a field monitor on live shows because it's the perfect size and resolution. My daily life is a 14 inch triple monitor laptop for work and the world on my desk at home. Going from tha5 to just a 14 inch laptop is incredibly cumbersome. This portable monitor is lightweight and easy to install. I looked for portable monitors for several years before I bought my first one and then hit the jackpot!
