I bought this cable because I recently assembled a gaming PC and wanted to connect my headphones to the 3.5mm jack. This is because the mic in the headphones I have doesn't work unless it's via Bluetooth. This solves the problem of getting great sound while avoiding outsiders. The fact that it comes with 2 is a game changer. Now I can throw one in my car. Looks and feels pretty cool and powerful. Important note: Microphone headsets work with this cable. My specific Sony WCH700N model is not. 3 rings on the jack allow this. This is TRRS.
