Bought this about a month ago and only recently raced it so here are my thoughts. We loved the ability to communicate and respond to actions on the track without having to shout! Yes, they're cheaper than your top-of-the-line headsets, so you'll need to balance your expectations with that fact. That being said, I feel what I got was fair value for what I paid. I don't feel left out. They are made in Korea and passed the first race tests well. The day was windy but the communications were loud and clear enough to be heard (obviously from the engines too). My only complaint is that the volume knob only controls the input source. The communication volume cannot be regulated and is sometimes too loud for others. I also warn you that if you want to use your smartphone as the source for the race announcement (via an app or FM radio tuner) you will need to purchase a separate built-in amplifier. This is not necessarily a headset fault, also the phone's audio is not strong enough to be heard through multiple connected headsets during a race.
