Review on Chemical Guys GAP_V38_16 Optical Polish by Myron Brooks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

First use of a real "buffer "

I was never confident enough to take a polish/buffer in the car until I blew my wife's hood! I was trying to remove some tree sap and overdid the rag a little. While the tree sap was gone, so was the shiny finish on her new Volvo! It left a mark about the size of a quarter of a muddy scratch. Fearing for my life, I started with a pad (by hand only) and Chemical Guys cutting polish. As a result, the clear coat was quickly brought back to an even level on site and was "uniformly cloudy". I then used the final polishing pad (on hand again) and this product. It took about 20 minutes of light buffing and water soaking and it looks brand new again! The great thing about this process is that it is a permanent solution. Unlike wax and other so-called "polishes" that simply hide the defect, this restores the finish and the damage will never return. After that I'm confident enough to use the power buffer and probably fix some small paint issues on other cars! If you do this, make sure you have a spray bottle filled with water and keep the area damp. You will never want to use dry polish! Although this product may cost a little more than others, it is of very high quality and my car is worth it!
