Review on 🎨 Premium Valken Paintball MI-7 Goggle/Mask: Dual Pane Thermal Lens for Superior Vision & Protection by Kendriece Figueroa

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Inexpensive, great lens, a few comfort issues for larger heads.

I bought this mask instead of the Empire Helix, which is also highly recommended in this price range of 30-35 entry-level masks. Both masks have two (thermal) lenses and a similar look/style. I used this mask for a 4-5 hour paintball session and that's what I got from it. 1.) The mask fits a little tight on my big head. I wear an XXL snowmobile helmet, but my head isn't THAT big or oddly shaped (I'm 6ft 3" and 250lbs). This caused the rear end to hurt my ears a bit, but relaxed while playing and didn't bother me anymore after a while. 2.) This mask didn't fog up no matter how much I sweat and it was around 30C playing outside. It also stopped raining for a VERY short time, no fogging so far. 3.) The top visor came off when hit by a paintball (the paintball didn't break). I may have installed it incorrectly, but you add slots on both the right and left sides and then put an o-ring around those slots to keep it from falling out. The center post never seemed to do anything other than sit on top of the mask's vent. I tried my best to get it in the slots but couldn't. Not sure if this was the intended design for it to sit on top, but it looks like it should fit into the slots for extra support. Although this may be user error on my part. 4.) The part that sits on your nose is a bit tight at first and I felt like my nose was slightly closed. That feeling went away after a game or so and I feel like it just had to be smashed. Overall this is a decent mask, the lenses are very good for a cheap entry level mask. I would really like to try Helix to compare it to. Time will tell if this was the right purchase but I have no reason not to believe it was made after a few days of successful paintball play.
