This necklace is a solid buy; Bought this as a birthday present for my partner and she loved it! I bought rose gold and both the chain and necklace itself did not disappoint. The opal has a very green tint so keep this in mind when choosing a regular opal type; This is NOT a fire opal so don't expect it to shimmer like one. The type of opal is called "Harlequin" and is artificial. The necklace itself is beautiful and while the chain and necklace are only plated in 18k rose gold, the sterling silver underneath ensures that your skin will NOT turn green. :) The chain and necklace all have the correct markings for their respective metals,
