This is a well designed and built mount. I say this as a somewhat discerning consumer and as someone who has been designing and manufacturing mechanical devices for decades. It is very stiff even when fully extended. The articulated arms move smoothly but have enough friction to hold the TV in any desired position. The tilt and tilt adjustment ranges are more than adequate for my needs and easily accomplished with the included wrench. The bracket is made from a combination of pressed steel and welded steel tubing. A nice touch is the use of flat head socket head screws to connect the different parts of the arm. Clean, smooth welds, no exposed nuts or threads on the bolts holding the arms together, and a well-crafted black ruched finish give this mount a sleek and sophisticated look. Installation is easy if you have the skills and basic knowledge. Tools needed to securely attach to the wall of your choice. Installing the TV on the bracket is easy as the plate that the TV is attached to can be easily removed from the end of the bracket. Simply remove this plate from the bracket and attach it to the back of your TV using the four screws included in the mounting kit. The design of this detachable plate allows it to be hung securely on the end of the mounting bracket along with the TV already attached, while you apply nuts to the plate's two studs to fully secure the TV to the bracket. Installing our 42 inch LCD TV was an easy task for one person.
