Works very well but I have an old version without a timer that was bought back in August 2019 so the reviews before that are most likely the old version. There is another language on the box as well as some English. I've had this green algae bloom and this UV light cleared it up with no problem after a few days of occasional use. I wish they had a smaller one because it's sticking out the back of my 5 gallon tank (it's just too long)! Measure first! If you keep fighting for crystal clear water I bought a new pump when mine broke and it is so clean now so check your pump you may need an upgrade too.
