Review on 27" Monitor Acer Nitro VG272UVbmiipx (UM.HV2EE.S01), 2560x1440, 170Hz, IPS, black by Adam Bronisz ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm satisfied, it's a good purchase.

The most importantcomnclusion that I made for myself when I received this monitor is that 2k is really better than HD at 27", my eyes, if you don’t look at point-blank range, do not see the pixels. In games, the picture becomes much more pleasant, in the Windows menu and in working programs although the icons have decreased, but the workspace has become larger. In general, everything has become smoother and if you look from 2k to HD, the latter is clearly a loser. The only disadvantages of 2K, I can only include that the text has become smaller and sometimes you need to look closely to understand it, but I don’t oftencomme across it, so for now let it be so (I don’t use the ability to scale Windows). I did not see problematic pixels and problems with backlighting when I turned it on (testing) for the first time (it was light in the room), so it was decided to leave this monitor. However, incommplete darkness, when viewing a black background, I was disappointed, the terrible uniformity of black due to "backlight leaks", this is an individual jamb and each monitor will have its own. However, it was unpleasant because. I work with a black background (autocad) and sometimes I watch movies in the dark at night, and they especially like to make dark scenes in them . In general, I was ready to put up with it. at least there were no problematic pixels here (unlike BENQ which I took a week earlier), but when testing, I noticed a strangecomlor effect when viewing black and white patterns. Judging by the signs, this is a pixel inversion (Pixel Inversion - Pixel Walk). I thought about reconciling with this, but after watching the video and realizing that Icomuld face this later, I decided to return this monitor. Video describing the sore ? v=NlZmW-tp_4s I have been struggling with the choice of a monitor for the second week, I have already been to showrooms, retested several models, I did not think that there would be so much fuss with such a seemingly simple question. LG 27GN850-B 27" came to me today and I'm stopping at it first. I'll write a review on it later. If you take this ACER, be sure to check for the shortcomings that I indicated.

Pros
  • 1. Image quality is generally good, if not for the pixel inversion problem, I would have kept this monitor. 2. 170 Hz, holds without problems (via DP), via HDMI 144 Hz. Problems with either the video card or the built-in video. 3. I compared the HD monitor with this monitor and realized for myself that all my monitors will now be at least 2K (2560x1440 - QuadHD, QHD) and with a frequency of 144+Hz.
