I knew I wanted to buy her nutrients from another company when she was older and was really trying to eat herself but saw that a nutritionist she suggested on IG for younger kids. Children. We started using her when she was about 6 months old and I just wanted her to become familiar with similar paraphernalia to the rest of the family. I didn't expect her to love her so much, but she does. The base is perfect for her palm grip and I don't have to worry about her silencing herself. We all sit together to eat, so in between spoon feedings I feed her mashed potatoes using a traditional baby spoon. It's messy, but she can grab it and put it in her mouth. I'll add that if you make your own food instead of using store-bought ones, you should expect stains. The marble is so pretty but when she first made the cherries they got a little dirty.
