The quality of this jacket exceeded my expectations. Yes, it is real leather. And it is high-quality soft leather. I assumed it ran a tad small, so ordered a size up. I purchased this jacket for a Halloween costume. What a nice surprise that I will be able to add this to my fall jacket wardrobe as well. The only negative point is there is a strong odor. I have hung it near an open window to air it out. Despite that minor issue, I highly recommend this purchase (remember to order one size up from your regular size).
