This is an excellent cord organizer and wrap. There are many sizes. They prevent cats from chewing on the umbilical cord as this changes the umbilical cord's size, thickness, texture and smell. Dogs? I am not sure. I can say they work for cats (ie against cat chewing) but I'm not sure they will work for dogs. 1/2" size: suitable for wrapping 3 standard electrical cords (round) such as computer power cords, Cat-5e LAN cords, telephone cords, etc. Maybe 4 would work too, but I've tried - a little pushed. But it all depends on the cables. but the part that comes with the laptop) etc. About 2 will fit in a cord wrap. Maybe 3. But 2 works best. 1/4" Size: medium. Ideal for wrapping 1 ONE electrical cord for wrapping purposes (for cat bite protection) and NOT for tying and organizing. If you want to connect two cables together, you need 1/2 inch.
