LIFX Lights with HomeKit not for beginners - do not pick

Lift has a very good reputation, especially with Apple users. When I finally decided to switch to WiFi lighting instead of Bluetooth lighting, I chose LIfx. These whites are perfect for my budget and I'm not interested in many colors. I see little usage in colors at the moment. I've bought several of these over the past two months. Each of these features has been a challenge to add to HomeKit. Something has broken in your firmware and/or software. The official process is to add them through the LIfx app and then go through the HomeKit process. The problem is that it fails every time. If you're trying to go straight through Homekit; still fails. If you can turn on the light in the lifx app what can you do if you force quit the homekit process and then choose not to show your device then you can select the light as a network and it in the lifx -Get app. Once I could add most of the lights using the Pair to Homekit option; but it doesn't work every time. Lifx has no phone support, only email. I am waiting for an answer. If you can add them the lights are great and fast and work well with Homekit. Wi-Fi is much better than Bluetooth. Super fast. That being said I can't recommend any Lifx product as it seems they have given up on Apple users. Their own support site doesn't even know these white lights exist. They seem to acknowledge that there is an issue adding it to Homekit, but their instructions list options that no longer appear in the LIfx app. The Lifx app has been updated to remove the ability to add Lifx lights via non-Homekit Apple devices. It used to be an option. Either use another Wi-Fi option, I'm told Phillips works great but they're ridiculously expensive, or stick with Bluetooth. I've been using Sylvania bulbs for a number of years, but they don't turn on instantly like WiFi bulbs. This is 1 to 5 seconds and sometimes not at all. I gave two stars because if you can add them to HomeKit; They work great. However, it is a big "if" and many hours of trying.
