Review on πŸŒ™ Optimal Support Black Travel Pillow with Embrace Sleep Collar by Jarrett Francis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

better than horseshoe pillow

I always thought that horseshoe shaped travel pillows literally had "neck pain" because they allow my head to lean forward when sleeping on a plane, which at least it should painful sensations, and in the worst case - to a complete inability to fall asleep. When I saw something similar in a SkyMall magazine, I was intrigued; Coincidentally, the brand was showing a different model, but when I researched it on Revain, I came across this model that got better reviews. I have used it several times and I can say that it does its job well. I'm not sure if other passengers find this funny (maybe they're just jealous of my ability to sleep!), but I find it comfortable and durable at the same time - doesn't feel suffocating, but it keeps your head up. In order to be both soft and firm enough to hold your head, it's a bit thick. So the stuff you wrap around your neck and fasten with Velcro is almost an inch thick β€” that just means it doesn't fold into a very compact package. If you're already carrying a full bag on the plane, this can make it difficult to find a place for it in your bag (although I think you can wear it on your arm like a armband). It's already packaged in a curved format, not flat, and doesn't really "unfold" to place on the edge of a briefcase, for example. But it's that pre-curved design that makes it both useful and comfortable, so I'm willing to put up with it.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
