This chair was for my 6 year old autistic grandson. THAT'S GREAT! He has a sensory disorder and is finding it difficult to adjust. He usually sits on an exercise ball. Which he ALWAYS jumps on. He wrestles when he sits on chairs. Also with pads and touch devices. But THIS chair is FINALLY comfortable! I suspect most people were thinking the same thing I was when I ordered this chair. I was expecting it to be made out of a pillow. THIS IS NOT! It's made out of some kind of hard foam. The seat appears to have a very thin layer of some sort of cushion, but I mean VERY THIN! Maybe not even half an inch. It's very solid. very easy! It can be transported with you from room to room. Now he can sit for a very long time without moving, getting up, swaying or jumping! THATS A WONDER! The cover has a zipper so you can remove it for washing. It's so helpful. Because as any caregiver of an autistic child knows, clutter abounds! lol I cannot recommend this chair enough! For every child, not just for children with autism. I think every kid will love this chair. VERY spacious! It sits low, but the seat itself is wide and deep. Even my son (father of grandson) got into it. Wide enough for an adult too. So any child can sit in it, and two small children, say toddlers, could probably sit in it together, although it would be comfortable. For a child who never seems to get comfortable, I say try this chair. It's such a great price that you really have nothing to lose! It's worth the price. I hope this brings every child as much comfort as it did my grandson!
