I had very high expectations for this set. I have a few good words, but unfortunately the cons are high on my priority list. I am very conscientious about writing honest reviews, so I am trying to give credit to this product. • If you have a newer mattress and most of them tend to have an extra quilted pillow and you want something that looks like the picture, buy it. or two sizes bigger, otherwise it won't happen. Unfortunately for me the lintel/cascade has an aesthetic value. My sheets stick out further than this comforter and they are standard king size sheets which tells me there is an issue with the "king" size of the comforter not matching what is shown in the picture will be shown. I also have other royal comforters and none of them are oversized. There is no way to make it look like the picture. ****Also, this is a very wrinkle prone material and cannot possibly be the fluffy one shown in the photo. • The color ordered was light grey. . It has a slight cold (bluish) tint, but that's often the case when buying light gray bedding. The color is beautiful, I'm satisfied. Color was my second most important preference. • I miss the striped throw pillow. Unfortunately this was my favorite pillow in the picture but I will contact the third party and hopefully resolve this issue easily. I will share my experience trying to solve this problem. • Material: This is NOT a thickly padded duvet, which may make some people think it's very cheap, but I myself was looking for a duvet suitable for summer. I live in very tropical and coastal south Texas so this works for me as winter isn't that big of a factor here. This may not work for others. *** I would wash this very carefully and stick to cold water, air dry and avoid heat. I think the shrinking and its tricky aspects can be problematic, as other reviewers have pointed out. • Euro (square) pillowcases are HUGE and a bit funky. This doesn't scare me as I have no problem making/stuffing my own pillows, but it's a word of caution for anyone looking to buy a pillow in a store or online. • Painted royal pillowcases. They are soft but thin, like the material of a blanket. Again, I would be careful with washing. • A skirt is a skirt. In general, it lives up to expectations.
