OPTIONAL UPDATE: So as expected the new cable that was delivered was of significantly lower quality than the previous cable and stopped working after less than 3 months. waste of money. Look elsewhere!——————————————————UPDATE: After about 3 years of regular use, the cable finally stopped charging. I was completely satisfied with my original purchase and ordered the exact same replacement cable (the one shown in the photos). However, when I received it, it was a similar but different cable. I can't verify if it was the same company or not; Maybe it's an updated design, or maybe they sent me a fake one. All I can say is that the cable I received was not the cable shown in the photos on the website. The new cable feels stiffer, doesn't have an attractive and shiny plastic body (and instead has a dull, matte, rough finish) and, most importantly, has a much longer USB body and sticks out more than advertised.
