IDK If only the one I had was defective it wouldn't accept SD cards. I tried a new 72GB card formatted on my laptop, a smaller card (64GB) and then a 32GB card that I used in my current camera. Every time you insert a card, the display shows "Error - CANNOT READ SD". A word of warning, when you first turn it on you'll be prompted to choose a language, but no languages are suggested. You can try pressing up, down or any other key - nothing happens. So I turned it off and on again to restart it and it opened up to the main screen (bypassing the language selector) and chose the language for me, which turned out to be French (I don't read French). Had to use a translator to get back to the menu to set the language to English. Not worth the hassle!
