Maybe I just don't know how expensive furniture usually is. But it seems too expensive for the quality you get. It's definitely sturdy and decently made, but there are a few scuffs and minor blemishes on the factory paintwork, and it definitely has an odor. (Although the smell will go away in a day or two.) What seems cheap and is driving me nuts is that the drawer doesn't slide out smoothly at all! There are no round metal rollers for the box to roll smoothly on. The wooden planks of the drawer lie directly on the plastic guides made for this purpose. The feel of wood sliding on plastic is uncomfortable and what makes the product so cheap. Even though it is fully functional, cabinet doors do not have this problem, they come with real hinges. And it was pretty easy to put together, took a little longer than I wanted, but was easy and straightforward.
