Poor quality wick: Birthday candles

I bought this wick because of the wooden wick but it does NOT burn. The smell isn't particularly strong either, but I could only detect it after standing by the candle and lighting it for about 10 minutes each time it went out, hoping that the wick would eventually catch on. Stick to diamond candles or glass. Woodwick if you want a cool candle without the Cracker Jack trick ;)
