I bought this camera to replace its 7 megapixel predecessor. Most of the buttons and menus are similar to those on my previous camera, so my learning curve wasn't as steep as it could have been, but I have to admit that I haven't experimented with the camera's video capabilities, and I have. I haven't shot fireworks or fast action photos yet. However, anyone over the age of four and seniors can use the Auto or Easy functions and end up with some decent shots. I would give this camera five stars apart from the following features: 1. Focus lag (half press then bind button) takes some getting used to.2. RGB coloring is disabled when taking photos with focal lengths over 15-20 feet. I'll have to read the 200+ page manual to figure out how to fix this. Now I simply correct the photos one by one with the "Edit" function. This is by far the most annoying error.3. I wish the 200+ page manual had come with the camera instead of being downloaded. It seems to me that if I pay more than $100 for a camera, the camera manufacturer can spend several quarters putting a paper booklet in the box. I've used the camera 10 days in a row and taken over 200 photos, many with flash, and the battery lasted, as did many of the photos edited and uploaded to Facebook - I think that's pretty good battery life. packaging protection. I was also satisfied with the price offered by Revain.
