Best value for money

I used to have a Zhiyun v2 faucet and really enjoyed using it with my Sony A6500. After upgrading to the Sony A7R3, I felt the need to upgrade the gimbal to allow it to carry a heavier payload. I bought a Zeiss 35mm f1.4 for my a7r3 (a heavy machine) in February and that was also the time the DJI Ronin-S was announced. It seemed like the perfect stabilizer for my needs as it includes new features that Crane doesn't have and also supports a larger payload. I waited months for the Ronin-S to be released, only to realize that it wasn't the ideal gimbal for me for the following reasons: The Ronin-S is 600 grams heavier than the Crane 2. That's a big difference for work with the gimbal, especially if you plan to use it while traveling - charging the Ronin-S requires a motor connected to the battery - if you plan to travel with the Ronin-S in the included carrying case, you'll look like an ice cream vendor . I hate this styrofoam. The build quality, motor tilt, and some of the Ronin's features like sport mode and 360-degree rotation might sound appealing to some people, but at the end of the day (90% of the time) you'll just be using the gimbal for basic tracking and framing pan shots. The Crane 2 is lighter and has a follow focus motor, which costs a lot on the DJI equivalent. The faucet bag 2 is excellent and stylish. Not to mention Zhiyun's excellent customer service. Very helpful and friendly.
