Review on Convenience Concepts 5 Tier Glass Tower by Dustin Barry

I'd like to start by saying that for the money I like the clear version of these shelves. I've bought several of these. This time I bought a pair of "Black Glass" because I thought they would look better with black leather furniture in one of the rooms where I use shelving. I was initially thrilled when they arrived and immediately started building. I came home from work. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that they weren't transparent as I thought they were, and upon closer inspection I saw that they were in fact transparent, with a matte black vinyl sheet attached to the underside of one side to make them appear black. . If I had known that, I would not have bought these. I would choose two more transparent ones. Just note that this will not get you clear/translucent black tinted glass like the listing would have you believe. Your shelves will be glass, they appear black but are actually opaque and you can't see from one shelf to the other which I think totally defeats the purpose of using glass shelves, especially if you place accent lighting on the shelves. 1st photo is a top view. 2nd Photo - Bottom View (Vinyl Decal / Overlay).
