We use the block for my desktop computer and related devices (scanner, printer, etc.), but for charging more ordinary of portable devices we have iPad and iPhone. In short, what I expect is common usage. There are no complaints about this, and the plugins are spaced wide enough so that large plugins don't block anything. We spent an extra $10 for a device with wireless charging, and that's the reason for my rejection. Whatever the "Qi" standard is, it does NOT apply to the iPhone 7 or 6. It works with the iPhone X. Users who usually have the latest version might find this feature useful. My iPhone 6 works fine, the wireless charger is not a useful upgrade for people like me.
