Review on 💡 Enhance Your Lighting with Putco 247440W-360 White 7440 Plasma LED Bulb by Ray Cole

Despite an online suggestion that these bulbs would not fit my 2012 Toyota Avalon, I bought them anyway and they fit and work great. They will fit either the 7440 brake light sockets or the 7440NA rear turn signal sockets. I bought them in both amber and red to appreciate the quality of the light color. Both are excellent. The amber color is true amber that matches standard DOT-7440NA bulbs. Red is a rich, true red color, which in turn meets DOT requirements for a red tail signal. I like the way the red bulbs look in the rear turn signals and I think I'll leave them installed and keep the amber bulbs handy if I want to change them to amber. For rear turn signals, either amber or red is acceptable. The bulbs look very high quality and fit snugly into their sockets with a positive "lock". I had to rotate them to make sure the polarity is correct. Before changing the bulbs, I turned on the alarm to make sure they were properly seated in their sockets. I have never been amazed by the performance of the 7440/7443 lamps. They never seem to be as bright as the 3057/3157/3357 series lamps despite being rated for at least the same brightness. Much brighter than the standard bulbs, these LED bulbs from Putco do a great job of filling reflectors with light and look complete while running. Because they produce a point light source, they work well in lamp housings designed for incandescent bulbs. I have used upgraded Philips 7440 red LEDs which have a unique design that reflects the light back into the reflector for excellent performance. However, the Philips was not bright enough either with the brakes or the turn signals. The stock amber bulbs produced a visible orange color in the clear lenses, which didn't bother me at all. These lamps create a colorless, clean look for those looking for that feature. I purchased a variable speed electronic turn signal from another seller on Revain that works perfectly with these LED bulbs. Replacing the turn signal is a better option than connecting resistors. I am very happy with how these bulbs look and work. I hope they last as long as advertised. I highly recommend them.
