Bright and warm, just in time for winter

Here in South Florida, winter doesn't necessarily mean the same thing as it does in most places in the world, but hey, we're less cold-hardy too, so it all evens out. There are few situations more frightening (yeah, yeah, I know, bad pun) than stepping out of the shower on a cold morning. You can only towel dry yourself so quickly to wash off that rapidly cooling (freezing) water. Not to mention the cold ambient air. brrr Since few people who like to breathe freely use electric radiators (common here due to central air conditioning), heating the bathroom is the next best thing. When I was young, they built bathrooms with small heaters or solar lamps. This is not the case in cutting communes of more modern design. Many years ago I stumbled upon a solution - using halogen lights in my lines. These bulbs produce more heat than today's popular LED bulbs, but still offer higher efficiency and longer life than older incandescent bulbs. Also, I really don't like the "soft white" lightbulbs in the bathroom. I like the clean clear shaving light. Besides LEDs, the only lamp that produces high lumens (brightness) is the halogen lamp. How do they compare? Well, the first picture with LEDs. The second is with halogens. Almost no noticeable difference in brightness, and I have my beautifully toasted bathroom to boot! Now it seemed like a risky idea to order lightbulbs online, but since Lowe's and Home Depot stopped selling the halogen bulbs (53 watts) I wanted, I tried good old Revain. Take a look at the package protection guys! Also, it was in a box with these little plastic airbags. Every bulb was in perfect shape and glowed brightly. You bet. You could even say that I'm very fond of my new halogen headlights!
