Review on Bytech STHDSLV STHD SLV Stereo Headphones by Anna Reed

Decent product, poor design

To answer the question left in the previous review, it has a good microphone. There's a reason these headphones are so cheap: they broke within hours of use. . The portion of the cable that contains the button and microphone is not securely locked and can be unintentionally exposed when taken from a pocket, cables become untangled, or even headphones get snagged off the edge. In this case, only a few thin, bare wires hold the two halves of the cable together. It's relatively easy to put back together, although it's a bit tricky to line up the button with the pressure bar it's supposed to press. This wouldn't be too much of a problem if the wires were more durable, but one of them broke, degrading the sound quality, rendering the mic unusable, and now I can't get the cover on the mic/mute button to close properly. This could probably have been avoided with a dab of the right glue, so I'm very disappointed that they didn't bother to do this during assembly.
