This utensil is great - ignore the haters

I bought this after all 4 LMF camping gear I bought broke in the same place (neck between fork and spoon). As my name suggests, I read a lot about it before I bought it. I've used it several times since buying it for picnics and takeaways (I'm very happy to tell the restaurant to keep their plastic cutlery). It is durable, easy to care for and very light. But I was hesitant to buy it based on some of the reviews, so I'd like to answer a few questions that have been asked by others: Matte finish: This is not a trendy silver and if I were out on a hike I'd probably be very happy with the sun reflects don't let my harness hit your face. I don't feel weird when I eat, and I don't feel bad on my tongue or my teeth. He feels completely normal. This is not a "rough cut" and I'm pretty sure it's not a bacteria magnet (in fact I suspect the review was about a different brand of camping gear). Spoon: It differs in shape from many spoons - wider and flatter. As a result, it holds about as much liquid as a narrow, deep spoon. And the shape means it packs flatter, which is one of its great features. I even tried soup with this dish and everything worked wonderfully (holds liquid, puts liquid in the mouth, releases liquid!). I think people who "can't imagine eating soup with this utensil" should test it before deciding the spoon is faulty. Knife Blade: I haven't cut anything with it yet. To be honest, I don't take a lot of food with me on a hike that needs cutting, and if I need to cut something, a multi-tool is probably fine with me. However, the design of this knife is far superior to the LMF model for eating with a fork, as the notch is only on the top, so the tine side of the fork is relatively smooth. This makes eating with a fork much more comfortable for my gums and tongue. Perhaps that makes it less effective as a knife than the LMF model, but if you don't have a pocket knife or multi-tool on the go, this is for you. I would like an interesting color. But I want everything to be an exciting color, and it certainly isn't

Pros

Cons
  • Protection
