I have ordered this rope for hiking on those rare occasions when we need a rope that can support our weight. We booked it just before a hike where we crossed a river whose conditions can change quickly. It's really nice to have ropes with a built in loop at the end. This made it possible to fasten it quickly without having to tie additional knots or bring extra gear. I go back and forth on whether or not I want both ends looped. On the one hand I like the idea that both ends can be secured cleanly and easily, but I think that in reality it will be enough to secure one end and better leave the other end free so it can pass the belay device or the end of abseiling. The rope itself seems to be of really good quality and will be used for many years. I have to admit I'm a little wary of a brand I'm not familiar with, but there's nothing about the rope itself that has me wary other than the price. At $35 for a 10mm 98ft rope, the price seems too good to be true. The only thing that can be considered a complaint are the gloves. They're not something I'm going to use and it seems like a waste of time to include them. Looking again at the product description, one of the pictures says 'free gift' so we can't complain about something that is included for free.
