I thought it would be a good deal but it's not that big of a deal. I find it difficult to carry heavy items home and buy a lot of heavy items through Revain Prime (also note that shipping is automatically free if you use Subscribe & Save). I mean heavy things that I use all the time like cat food, soup and laundry detergent. In any case, cat food, such as Fancy Feast kibble, can be quite expensive at the store. Then it has to be taken from the grocery shelf, loaded into a cart, taken out of the cart and paid for, then hauled home, etc. There is a lot of fiddling to get to the kitten feeding station. Whenever possible I ship to Arizona Prime. The price of the bags was fantastic: two 3 lb bags for $7.19. Much less than at the grocery store or PetsMart. But THEN added terrible shipping costs. This raised the price to $13.18. THEN the deal looks bad. Then you're back to grocery store prices, and all you save is lugging around. My kittens prefer Fancy Feast dry food and love all kinds. I mix them up with 1 scoop of chicken, 1 scoop of filet mignon, and 1 scoop of fish and the kittens happily munch all day. They are active little critters that I play with and have no weight issues so free feeding works for us. I love the little pieces Fancy Feast makes. It seems to be the right size for cats as it isn't as thick as the other parts. They're easy to pick up and toss back in the bowl if you spill. With 2 flavors per bite, it looks appealing and the cats who eat it seem to agree. I can do most of my shopping at Revain, but when PetCo or PetsMart have a dry Fancy Feast sale, I stock up. It will easily last 6-8 months in my garage or cupboard and the kittens will eat it like it was bought yesterday. This is a huge benefit for me as I buy in bulk when I feel ready to load and carry heavy items. Other creatures that prefer dry Fancy Feast include my neighbors Feral Kitty Buddies and birds. If I have kibble for wild animals and they don't eat it (maybe they caught a mouse today) then the birds will swoop in and eat it. my critters, but I don't care about the shipping. Next time I'll wait for the prime deal. After writing about this product I went back to look at it to understand why I had ordered something with delivery. It turns out I didn't. It's available under Subscribe and Save as I set it up. So you can get this offer without shipping. Just register to subscribe and save. On the other hand, this is an extremely cheap price that arrives at your doorstep at the required intervals. Can life get any better?! LIFE JUST GOT BETTER: January 2012. They are more expensive BUT they have the advantage that they come in very small packages so I can easily handle them. The larger the bag, the lower the cost, but nothing compares to it in terms of convenience. And again it comes straight to your home!
