Review on Trudeau Structure Silicone Muffin Pan, 24 Cup Mini, Grey/Mint: Efficient Non-Stick Baking Tray for Perfect Muffins by John Surabhi

After reading reviews and seeing several videos about this cupcake pan, I decided to buy it. I already have 2 silicone muffin cases without a metal frame, so I decided to try these. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the shape with handles made it too big to fit in my countertop convection oven (it's a large oven, btw), which meant using my oven on a hot 90 degree day had to. . I was still hoping this pan would live up to all the good reviews I had read/seen about it, so it went into the oven. The company doesn't recommend using nonstick spray, and since my baking mix contained coconut oil and was supposed to be nonstick silicone, I didn't use anything to cover the cupcake holes. Big mistake! This pan was NOT worth the asking price and I was very disappointed that everything stuck and didn't pop out as the video shows. To be honest, there are much cheaper metal-framed silicone pans that do the same job as that expensive cupcake pan. I know this because I ordered a different brand. It fits perfectly in my desktop oven and while it may require an extra step of oiling/lubricating the holes, at least it was less than half that price. Of course I sent this item back as soon as possible.
