It serves its purpose, but the quality is far from perfect.

Does the job but the quality is far from perfect. Of all the available mounts, I chose this mount because it seemed to fit my purpose of mounting the TV as close to the wall as possible. Surprisingly, there doesn't seem to be many mounts that do this well... I'm talking about minimizing the space behind the TV to the absolute minimum. The design is essentially a stripped down version of a discontinued Sanus ML11-B1 that I've hooked up another TV to. . Compared to the Sanus, the Monoprice's design is much simpler, using only the top two VESA mounts to hang the TV, leaving the bottom mounts just for holding spacers (one with the stand). The downside to this simplicity is that you can't orient the TV vertically independently of the wall mount. Therefore, the height of the TV needs to be changed or the height adjusted by moving/adjusting the wall mount. As already mentioned, the built-in spirit level is not to be trusted. It was so bad that I could see with the naked eye that the level tube was crooked relative to the bracket. So I used a 24" level when installing the bracket. Then I noticed that the mount itself wasn't straight. He had a bow! As a result, I balanced the arch so that the gaps between the bracket and the plane at the ends looked even. To give you an idea of how warped the bracket is, let's assume the gaps at each end were about 1/16 inch. Other than that, once installed it works great and these defects never appear again... so I don't really care. One more note. Before I bought it I was wondering how I could get to the short rods that operate the latch. Judging by the product image, they looked to me like rigid plastic loops that were too short, but they are actually velcro straps, turned backwards and attached to each other. I untied them completely so they could be reached. Still, they don't reach the bottom of the TV, but there is a spot where you can tilt the TV away from the wall just far enough to slip your hand in to reach the straps. By releasing the latch, you can fully tilt the bottom of the TV to access the back of the TV or remove it from the bracket.
