I would give this product 4 stars if it was more portable and had more detailed instructions. The extension is difficult to pull out.

Works overall. Product instructions are simple but sparse; and that's why i think some people had problems with the product because of that. The product is very durable but also very heavy. I expected that based on the reviews. My application is above a gas fireplace between two walls (a built-in space that can house an old tube TV). This mounting bracket allowed me to remove the base from a Samsung 55" LED TV and make room for the surround receiver and other components in the room. He does this job well. The TV can also be tilted towards the viewer, which is an improvement over the base mount. I would give this product 4 stars if it was more portable and had more detailed instructions. The extension cord is difficult to slide in and out, but rotating the TV works well. Addendum to the instructions (work for 2 people): Note. Like other Samsung owners, I had to go to the store and buy 8mm x 30mm screws to get the job done. with my television. I had to use the spacers that came with it. The back of my TV looks "flat" but if I didn't use spacers the brackets would put stress on the TV. Use spacers - don't risk damaging your TV, even if it looks "flat" from the back. Also, I measured carefully to make sure there was enough room for my receiver (I needed 6.5 inches under the TV) but when it was installed and pulled out it was an inch too short. If you do something like this, give yourself about an inch more clearance to allow for some flexibility when fully extended. For those who have broken anchor bolts, I haven't had this problem. But the instructions say you have to use a drill bit that is too small in diameter. Use the one that is a few sizes larger than the instructions say. Hold the drill next to the lag screw and the drill should be about the size of the screw minus the thread or slightly smaller. This gives you a correspondingly large pilot hole and reduces the driving force. Final tip: I've noticed that some viewers have complained that the TV tilts even after leveling (yes, don't trust the built-in bubble level - I had to use my own). Again, the instructions aren't very clear, but they do mention that you can adjust this by turning the front mount plate (no need to loosen the nuts). I managed it (don't try to rotate the TV directly on top of the TV - apply force to the brackets attached to the back of the TV as it takes a little effort to rotate it. This is a trial version ). and make mistakes until you get the desired result).

  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
