If you love Billingham you're used to paying a little more for something well made, functional yet simple. This pillow is designed to attach to a 1.5 inch harness with two tiny straps (nickel plated snaps). The fit is snug, so tight you have to unzip it to adjust the position. The outside is made of well-made cowhide leather with a top grain, while the bottom is made of grippy, textured neoprene. You have to make an effort for it to slip off your shoulder. While it feels a bit stiff at first, it quickly flexes to follow the contour of your shoulder. Small catch: The connection straps go through the whole insert and I feel a small bump on the insert when wearing it. t shirt This isn't uncomfortable, but may bother some owners. I don't feel lumps in a denim or leather jacket. It's also a bit heavy, but it's a thick piece of leather and neoprene after all. I use this mat on my Domke F-5XC camera bag and it fits perfectly and complements the black cotton cloth as if it were original equipment. I also have one on my black Hadley Pro and it seems to go with everything Billingham. Great product and I'm grateful it saved me from the stiff and uncomfortable Domke shoulder pad.
