Review on πŸ” Quality and Comfort Combined: BIC Comfort 3 Advance Men's Disposable Razor by Jessica Rodriguez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great handle design, affordable price but not very comfortable on the face

To get the same shave with a disposable razor as I would with a fancy razor, I've given up fancy expensive razors for years before. My favorite razor in recent years has been the Schick ST2. They have two blades per razor and I buy a dozen from Wally World for about six dollars. Lately I've been a bit frustrated with the grip (or lack thereof) and the fact that there's no swivel head. I'm a squanderer in some areas, but how far should I go? I decided to try these Bic Comfort3 Advance razors. The first thing I noticed when opening the package was the size difference. Look at the photos I posted. These bikes have a lot more handles and a lot more texture on the handle - a lot more grip. I figured this would provide a lot more control when shaving, and my assumptions were correct. Another difference is that these bics have a swivel head. That was cute! I forgot how nice it is when the razor head follows the contour of my face. Okay, folks who use rotary razors all the time, stop laughing. I have used cheap 50 cent razors for many years. :-) As for the blades, these beaks have three of them, not two like Shik's. Well, if there's one thing that's struck me in my 57 years, it's that two blades are MUCH, MUCH better than one. But does a third knife really bring advantages? I've noticed "some" hairs between the 3rd and 2nd blades when using these Bics, but not as much as between the 2nd and 1st blades. Will the 3rd blade help? Yes. But is it worth it? I'd say "Maybe." Minimum. I didn't notice any difference in the smoothness of the shave. Now the big question is: what about the quality of the shave? At first I thought everything was going well. But over the 10 or so days that I was using them, my face became more and more irritated. At first I thought the angle of the blades was different and my face just had to get used to it. But it got to the point where I didn't want to shave because my face was sore all day. Well before you say I didn't know how to use them. Look at the previous paragraph: I am 57 years old. sorry bic I really wanted to like her. The razor looks great and the handle and pivot design works great, but something with the angle of the blades doesn't work for me. A few days ago I went out and compared/compared other "cheap" disposable razors with fancy handles and pivoting heads, bought a pack from a competitor and had no problems with them - my face feels good. I don't know what to say other than they didn't work for me.
