The suction cups keep coming loose on my smooth marble countertop. My daughter has one and hers is on the mirror and it works great. Expect it may or may not suck permanently depending on where you keep it. Either way, the mount is well balanced and holds the chi irons well without tipping over. It costs money just to protect your countertops, the surrounding plastic, and yourself. I'm used to just pressing the suction cups with each use and that's enough to finish and cool my hair. If they improved the suction cups it would be perfect.
