The first time I tried to adjust the size, the central bar on the adjuster fell out and the device landed in my hand. It is clear that the quality leaves much to be desired. Also, the image of the cap gives the impression that the cap is stiffer and keeps its shape. It is not. The hat (except for the brim) flies off and sinks. I ended up taking a piece of velcro and attaching it to the lid to adjust the size.
