I've used wired headphones a lot over the past few years. To be honest, these DCMEKAs are by far the most comfortable. There's something about my ears that most headphones either hurt after an hour or two or refuse to stay in my ears. But I can wear them for hours and not feel uncomfortable. They have a semi-rigid loop at the back of the ear that keeps them in place. The sound quality is actually surprisingly good, beating out many headphones that cost a lot more. I've had them for over a year and now they're starting to cut through on one side so I'm buying another pair. At this price, that's not a problem. I can travel with them and if they get stolen or lost it doesn't matter much. Another thing I noticed when comparing it to some of the CCA headphones I've tried recently, the CCA headphones are too shrill in the high frequencies and also uncomfortable in my ear. I'm sensitive to high frequencies and prefer to turn down the volume on my car radio. While CCA headphones can be considered more accurate for audio monitoring purposes, I personally find the high audio clarity too penetrating for everyday use. But DCMEKA has better mids and lows in my opinion, and high frequencies are a little muffled. This is perfect for me!
