You have to be careful how much power your devices draw as it's a lighter cable than other SATA power dividers I use. For this reason you should not use this cable to extend another cable and add more devices than the cable can currently support, probably no more than 5 hard drives. That being said, this cable has worked great for me to drive fans in a larger server case that doesn't reach the current limit.
