The locking mechanism is not well designed to support the cord used to open. The first dome I ordered I was able to open up and put my GoPro in to make sure it fit. When I pulled the rope to pull the GoPro back out (I loved the rope idea btw! I've used domes in the past and it was always a problem opening the dome door), a chunk of the plastic piece came off (attached with the string) with no effort! There was no clicking, there was no actual use of force. I pulled and the plastic cracked, not even making a sound. So I asked for an exchange. I took it out of the box, looked at it and immediately noticed a tear under the tiny part where the cord attaches. My phone was charging so I didn't have time to take a picture but I tugged the cord very gently. This time I couldn't even open the door. The rope partially broke ABOVE the crack. I couldn't figure out how to undo the clasp without damaging it further and was so disappointed that I just repackaged it, wanted to send it back and ordered a completely different brand.
